I don’t know about you, but I grew up in a household where there wasn’t a huge emphasis on healthy snacking, so I usually went for the bag of chips, cookies and cheddar snack type of treat. Although I’ve broadened my horizons to enjoying foods past what I used to eat at recess, I still fill my pantry with Flamin’ Hot Limon Cheetos and Annie’s Cheddar Bunnies from time to time. I think those types of snacks are totally okay, but maybe not ideal for my everyday. The idea of a “snack” can sound like something you make for a kid, but I usually need a little more fuel to get me from lunch to dinner.

Now, there are definitely some pieces that I’m ready to leave in the past (low-rise jeans seem to be everyone’s enemy), but here are a few items from my childhood that I want to bring back into my life.
Read MoreI found my new favorite breakfast, and I need to tell you about it. It’s simple really, but I am LOVING it. If you love breakfast foods as much as me, you need to try this out. I also have a new favorite caffeine boost for any coffee drinkers out there, or maybe you’re new to it and not quite ready for straight black coffee.

Read MoreI think I feel more at home in Nashville now that I’ve gotten the chance to know my city more. I moved here just a few months before the pandemic, so it took a moment before I found my “go-tos” and absolute favorite spots. If you are new to the city or just stopping by, here are some of my favorite spots!
Read MoreWhen I first reflected back on 2021, I thought about goodbyes that came too soon. I thought about all the things I didn’t do but wanted to, like travel more with Cooper and release a ton of music. And I still didn’t learn Spanish or even finish reading all the books on my shelf. Overall, my feelings towards 2021 were initially not super positive.
Read MoreI always try to shop early for Christmas gifts every year, but I always have just a few that I need to get at the very last minute. Read MoreThe holidays are a really special time of year, and Christmas is one of my favorite holidays because it makes me feel close to my family, even if we’re not always in the same place at the same time. Over the years, we’ve fallen into the habits and traditions of the season, but being married to Cooper and having our own home means that we have the freedom to begin new traditions not only in our house but with both of our families.
Read MoreI don’t know about you, but I’m decorating early this year to drink up as much Christmas cheer as I can before the season is over. Only 50 percent of me is of Mexican descent, but it’s always been a huge part of my identity. I don’t think I ever questioned feeling Mexican enough until I got a little older and fought with the fact that I wasn’t fluent in Spanish.
