SUSTAINABLE/CLEAN BRANDS TO CONSIDER THIS CHRISTMAS
The world is moving towards cleaner and more sustainable products all around as most of us become more health and environment conscious, but finding clean/natural products (and products that are created by more sustainable businesses) to give as gifts can require some research. However, you’re in luck! I’ve already done some of that research for you, and I’ve broken down my finds by category. If you’re looking for beauty/skincare, cleaning, home decor or clothes, browse the brands (and some of the items that caught my eye) listed below and see if you find something for your loved ones… or even yourself!
Beauty/Skincare
A lot of people have been trying to slowly make the transition to cleaner beauty and skincare products over the last few years. I know I myself have even become a little more critical of what I’m putting on my skin, so I’ve done a little digging to find some clean beauty brands that could be great for you, your friend or your family member! Keep in mind that beauty and skincare is going to be all about what works for you and your skin, so there may be some trial and error before you find what you absolutely love. But here are my brand picks to get you started.
Beautycounter - Brightening Facial Oil
Kosas - Weightless Lipstick
ILIA - True Skin Serum Concealer
Supergoop! - Unseen Sunscreen SPF 40
Versed - Hydrating Milky Cleanser
Cleaning
Cleaning products are a very adult gift idea, but most of the people I know are very particular about the cleaning products they use in their home! Getting someone some health/environmental conscious cleaning products may seem like a drag, but I guarantee there is someone in your life who would absolutely love it. If the person you’re shopping for is specific about scents or smells, try getting them a gift card to one of these brands. They may love picking out their own gift or shopping around a bit before they decide! Without further ado, here are a few of the clean cleaning product brands I found in my search!
Mrs. Meyers - Eucalyptus Multi-Surface Everyday Cleaner
Dr. Bronner’s - Pure-Castile Liquid Soap
Branch Basics - Premium Starter Kit
The Honest Company - Bathroom Refillable Cleaning Kit
Home Items/Home Decor
In this category, I tried to find brands that are committed to sustainability and the growth of small business/creators around the world, but I opened up my search to everyday household items AND home decor. If you’ve got someone in your life who might love a specific piece of furniture or you’re looking for some home decor to give as a gift, here are a few of the main brands I found. Again, there are so many more than just the ones listed here, so if these aren’t striking your fancy, don’t worry! There are so many other ethical and sustainable brands out there.
Parachute - Oversized Rib Knit Throw
VivaTerra -Multi-Stripe Clay Candle holders
Our Place - Always Pan
(Keep in mind that non-stick does best on lower heat and helps with longevity. Read about the care first to make sure it’s a good fit for you.)
The Little Market - Ceramic Keepsake Box
Clothing
I want to make an effort starting this Christmas and into the new year to be more intentional about the clothing brands that I shop from. There are so many companies and creators out there that are dedicated to sustainable and ethical fashion, and I am eager to begin adding pieces to my closet from those brands. Fashion is fast moving most of the time, but I appreciate the care and time that a lot of sustainable businesses put into creating beautiful and comfortable pieces for the world. That being said, here are a couple of the brands that I am looking to try out soon. Again, if you’re not feeling these, there are so many other brands that could be a great fit!
Reformation - Kaye Dress
HARA the Label - Frankie Flares
Most Prominent Co. - Reuse Forever
Pact - Thermal Waffle Henley
Levi’s - Sherpa Trucker Jacket (I appreciate larger companies like Levi’s taking strides to become more sustainable. Their jeans last me forever too!)
