HOLIDAY HOME DECOR FOR 2021

I don’t know about you, but I’m decorating early this year to drink up as much Christmas cheer as I can before the season is over. Most of my décor has been collected over the years either from family members or small department store finds, but this year I’ve been looking at picking out a few new holiday items. My tastes have definitely changed over time, so part of the fun has been figuring out what kind of décor I want in my home. I’ve categorized my finds by style, so take a look for some holiday décor inspiration!

colorful

Red and green tend to dominate the holiday scene, but I've seen so many people branching out with décor of all colors this year. Whether we're talking rainbow ornaments or colorful Christmas lights hung up outside, you don't need to feel confined to red, white and green décor if you're all about having a colorful home. Here are some of my favorite pieces, and I love that they give that cozy holiday vibe while branching out a bit from the traditional color scheme!

modern

If you're looking for more sleek holiday items to spread throughout your home this year, check out some of these more modern décor pieces. While I love colorful things, there is something timeliness and chic about a more modern theme. I love that these pieces allow you to decorate your home for the holidays while still feeling like you're elevating the vibe and décor of your home through the holidays. Plus, modern décor usually plays around with different shapes and sizes which can bring a really unique holiday feel to your house!

Playful

If modern décor feels too put together for you, or you're in a season with young kids and you want to give your home that fun and playful holiday theme, the items below are some of my favorites from this year. Playful décor can be a fun addition to your home over the holidays because it'll give you that carefree and relaxed sense in your home. As we all know, the holidays can be busy, so maybe you combat the chaotic season with fun décor that makes you and your people smile!

NEutral

Lastly, I've compiled some neutral décor for those of you that maybe want to bring those earthy tones into your home this season. I truly love these pieces because they are the perfect mix of cozy, comforting and unique, but they won't overwhelm your senses if you're looking for more low key holiday décor. These pieces will definitely give you a sense of bringing the outside into your home, which can make for beautifully cohesive decoration from the outside all the way to the inside of your house.
