NOVEMBER RECAP

It’s the start of a new series here on the blog where I’ll recap some highlights from each month!

November, where did you go? October was super eventful and filled with concerts, pumpkin patches, and travel. But November started with an unexpected loss in my family that clouded a lot of the month (and honestly will for a bit), but it also had me reflecting on cherished memories with that loved one and made me want to continue to create memories with the people I love and hold close. So let’s get into it. Here are my top 5 from November!

The World’s Most Famous Rest Stop

Okay, so that’s probably not true, but Buccee’s is a Texas treasure. And anytime I spot one on a road trip after being greeted by multiple billboards of the face of their beaver mascot, I know where we have to pull over. Maybe it’s the sheer size, the endless snacks, the fact that the bathrooms really are that clean, but I get so excited to visit such a familiar and nostalgic place. I found myself on two road trips this month that resulted in Buccees’s stops and I have to say, I still get the hype.

FriendsGiving

I look forward to our Friendsgiving every single year! It’s been so fun watching it grow as the friends we gather with have expanded their families. Plus, it’s one of the few times a year I put my minimal cooking skills to the test, and it’s been nice that I’ve become a lot more confident when it comes to sharing something I made. I did panic for a moment that I over-mixed my filling for my pie this year, but somehow, it still turned out delicious! And it’s not picture perfect, but I do think my pie decorating skills have improved.

Nashville Nights

I always love it when we take the time to get out of the house and either try a new restaurant or have great conversations with friends over drinks, but this month, we made it out to an MLS game (to, unfortunately, watch our team lose, but the energy of going to a game is always so fun). It makes me want to go to more sporting events! Maybe there’s an NHL game in my future? I’ve never been to one, and that’s something I’d love to experience.

Music Video + Photoshoots

It has been months since I last made a music video! And I just filmed one in November for my holiday song “Sleigh Ride.” It was truly so fun to create! Only 3 of us worked together to make it and from the clips I’ve seen, I think we made something really festive and fun. It’s always more intimidating when I’m running my own wardrobe/hair + makeup and working together on the sets, but it’s always cool to see what a small team can create. Plus, we had our first The Fuzzy Pod photoshoot since our cover art shoot! I can’t wait to share those soon as well.

Current Faves

I’m thinking I’ll wrap this recap up with items I’ve been loving in November!

  • I like big bows, and I cannot lie. I’ve always loved a good bow, and they make the perfect addition to a fall look!

  • REPLICA Jazz Club is my favorite scent right now! I always get compliments when I wear it, and it’s the perfect warm scent for this time of year.

  • Laneige Lip Glow Balm. I think I’ve talked about this before, but I’m still obsessed. Especially this time of year with the heat on, I feel the need to hydrate and moisturize more than ever.
