WRAPPING UP SUMMER 2020 & PREPPING FOR FALL!

Can you believe we are already wrapping up summer?! In some ways I feel like this entire year has just been on pause since March, but it’s almost time for everything pumpkin spice — and my first fall in Nashville!

While this year has definitely panned out differently than I expected, I thought I’d share a few things that made my summer easier/feel more like summer, and what I’m planning to try this fall:

Things I did this summer:

- Took a small road trip to visit family
- Bought a blow up pool on amazon and made my back porch a little getaway
- Discovered new (low trafficked) hiking trails
- Drank lots of coffee sodas + espresso tonics!
- Threw a ball around our backyard with our dogs
- Filled my house with new plants
- Kept fresh flowers on our kitchen table
- Socially distanced with friends in a park and ate pizza
- Played Jackbox games with friends online
- Found a new work out I enjoy - boxing!
- Cleaned out my closet! I know it’s a blessing to have excess and I’ve been collecting a lot of my items over the years, so I finally said goodbye to a lot of clothes
- Lightened my hair
- Tried wake boarding for the first time (fell flat on my face a lot, but got a good run towards the end)

My plans for fall:

- Watch all the family friendly spooky shows/movies (I’m not big on horror films, so shows like Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Hocus Pocus are up my alley)
- Buy all the candles that bring that warm fall feel to the house
- Learn to bake a new pie for Thanksgiving
- Enjoy the colors of the changing leaves in Nashville
- More hikes
- Try a new seasonal coffee drink besides a PSL
- Have a photoshoot dressed up in my halloween costumes
- Paint pumpkins (I’m over cleaning out the “guts”)
- Visit a local farm and meet some cute animals
- Add more plants to the family (and don’t tell Cooper lol)
- Thrift fun colorful sweaters
