HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH! LATINX BUSINESSES TO SHOP

My first memories of National Hispanic Heritage Month, funny enough, come from Disney Channel commercial breaks. From September 15th-October 15th, there would be short videos to celebrate the rich traditions and cultures, and it made a young Megan feel proud of her Mexican heritage.
Although the official national celebration may be coming to an end, there’s always time to recognize the contributions and the influence of the Latinx community.

Although nationally helmed as “Hispanic Heritage Month”, “Latinx Heritage Month” is becoming widely more used as it is much more inclusive and celebrates all the people that influence and bring rich culture to our nation.

Here are some Latinx owned businesses (big and small) that you can support!

Valfré

Mexican-born artist Ilsle Valfré has expanded her brand from her amazing art into a business that offers apparel and accessories that all showcase the essence of the art she’s created. I have admired this brand for a while and have a few of her prints around my home!

One of my fave items: Madeline Backpack (Brown)

Wasi Clothing
A Bolivian/American clothing brand out of California that’s a one-woman business with a mission to put Bolivian culture on the map!

One of my fave items: Plant Seeds You Wish to Grow Tee

Eliza Ryan Design
Don’t you love it when you happen across an awesome small business? I came across Eliza Ryan Designs on Instagram and safe to say I’m obsessed with these creative designs. Shop anything from postcards, to mugs, to stickers!

One of my fave items: You Are Loved Sticker

Alamar Cosmetics
Latina-owned and cruelty free! These highly pigmented eyeshadow palettes have me drooling. Give me all the shimmer!

One of my fave items: The Spanglish Eyeshadow Palette

Ojitos Alegres
This small business out of Texas creates beautiful wall hangings and earrings (and you’ll want them all). Each handmade and “inspired by generational teachings of Indigenous and Mexican traditions”, these beautiful crocheted earrings immediately caught my eye while browsing latina-owned businesses on Etsy!

One of my fave items: Teal Crochet Daisy Earrings (or honestly one in every color)

BeautyBlender
Who hasn't used a beauty blender? And if you ever wear foundation at all, you need one in your life! I was happy to find out this brand I already support was was latina-owned!

One of my fave items: The Original Makeup Sponge Applicator (in pink of course)
