10 QUICK HALLOWEEN COSTUMES
Nothing like a last minute blog to share some last minute Halloween costume ideas! Even if you are staying indoors this Halloween to enjoy some spooky treats and movies, it’s always fun to dress up for the night! Whether it’s just for ourselves, or that sweet Instagram content. Here are some last minute costume ideas and what you’ll need to bring the look to life:
Tina Belcher from Bob’s Burgers
One of my favorite cartoon families makes for easy and fun costumes. To be my favorite horse-loving, fan fiction writing, boy-obsessed Belcher, here’s what you’ll need:
- Short Black Wig
- Denim Skirt
- Blue Tee
- White Socks w/ Red Stripes
Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Every time I hear that theme song I get pumped. Buffy the Vampire Slayer is one of my favorite shows to binge during spooky season!
- Red Pants
- Black Tee
- Blonde Wig
- A Stake (Maybe a plastic option for safety reasons, unless you plan on actually encountering IRL vampires)
Tinker Bell
There are so many ways you can interpret this character! Even if you aren’t blonde, like me, your hair in a bun and these items will still make your costume recognizable.
- Green Mini Dress
(Can be thrifted, doesn’t need to be an exact replica. I have an old stage costume from tour I use!)
- Large Pom Poms (add them to the tops of your shoes!)
- Fairy Wings (I used a pair of angel wings I already owned!)
Coraline
I was able to be one of my favorite spooky movie characters with a few items I already owned!
- Blue Bob Wig
- Yellow Rain Coat
- Dragon Fly Hair Clip (Bonus item.I used one that came with an orchid flower on the stand!)
- Yellow Rain Boots
Kim Possible
”What’s the sitch?” Just a few items bring this iconic childhood character to life.
- Army Green Cargo Pants
- Black Turtle Neck
- Red Wig
Your Pet
Channel your furry best friend. Depending on what your four-legged friend looks like, you’ll most likely just need a couple things!
- A pair of headband animal ears
- A simple tee that matches their fur
- A simple clip on tail
- Black Liquid Makeup (for nose and whiskers)
Josie and the Pussycats
Cat ears and some rockstars vibes, and you’re good to go! This is an easy costume to bring to life, even with items you may already own! There are also so many different versions of this look, so you really can do no wrong!
- Cat Ears (a must)
- Top: Animal print, sequins
- Pants: Black “leather”/More animal Print
- Carry around drum sticks or a mic! (Guitar works too, but maybe just for the pic)
Minnie Mouse
I feel like all my last-minute costume ideas involves ears, but if you have ever made a trip to Disneyland and left with a cute mouse ear headband, you are halfway there!
- Mickey/Minnie Ears
- Black or White Tee
- Polka Dot skirt (Minnie’s classic red and white combo makes you super recognizable)
Bachelor/Bachelorette Contestant
Do you have an old prom dress laying around? To achieve the classic, stepping-out-of-the-limo look on the first episode of the Bachelor, you’ll just need a just a couple things:
- A glam dress (sparkles are always good call)
- A single red rose
- Bonus: champagne
Switch-a-roo/Twinsies
Looking for Something superrrr easy? Dress up as one of your friends or significant other. Simply switch clothes for the day and be each other, or going for a more matching look. And if needed, throw on a wig to match up the hair!
