OUTFIT IDEAS FOR THE HOLIDAYS

It’s December, which means that holiday season is here, and the month will be full of celebrations! Holiday dinners, parties, time with family, etc. I’m looking forward to all of them, but sometimes I have trouble figuring out what to wear for each event. In years past, I find myself last minute searching online or in my closet, opting for anything that feels holiday. But this year, I want to spice up my outfits and be a little more intentional with each event. Here are a few of my options this year for these holiday-related events!

Choosing a christmas tree

If you need a casual outfit for an outing with your fam to pick out your very own Christmas tree, here’s what I suggest! A comfy sweater will keep you warm and cozy, and it’s easy to move in! Pair it with a cute beanie, scarf, and a puffer you need some extra warmth then you’ll be all set to head out into the cold and find your perfect tree. Casual and comfy is the goal! The memories are the most important part.

Holidate

Dating during the holidays? A themed outfit that’s subtle and snazzy is a great option! I love this shacket paired with the leather because it gives that chic touch. I would also opt for the tights, even if you’re not living in a super cold climate because it can bring more elegance to your winter fit. Then throw a novelty bag in the mix for some fun!

COZY holiday morning

I know most of us spend holiday mornings in our pjs, so I included some adorable matching sets! If you want to go all out and match with the entire family, Abercrombie and Old Navy have some cute options. If you’re looking for loungewear that can double as your outfit for the day, a matching sweat set is always the way to go.

a festive feast

Time for Christmas dinner with the family or a holiday meal with friends? Let me help you out with a dinner party outfit! I absolutely love this cream color because it stands out, but the monochromatic fit doesn’t feel too in-your-face-Christmas. You can always bring in pops of color (even through a bright red lip) if you’re someone who loves to mix and match. You also don’t need to wear heels if that’s not your thing! A clean pair of sneakers or some flats can be a perfect addition to a nice dress or pant.

Family Photos

Finding your perfect outfit for holiday family photos can be tough since sometimes you have to match with your family, but I’ve pulled together some pieces that can help you stand out while matching the aesthetic! This red velvet dress from Sister Jane just scream holiday. Those chunky heels are just darling, and they bring such personality to what would usually just be a black heel. I also cannot get over that gingerbread purse; it’s the cutest statement piece! If you want to opt for a simpler outfit, but still shine, jazz it up with some accessories like jewelry or a headband. Have fun with your outfit! You’ll certainly have fun looking back at these pictures over the years.

Holiday party

Whether it’s a personal party or corporate event, I’m here to encourage you to opt for some funkier pieces this holiday season. Let your style really take center stage with a fun coat or amazing red boots like the ones below. If you just want to dip your toe in and choose something safer this year, those accessories or coat or shoes can do a lot for a fit! This is a party, so find your inner party person and have a blast!

New Year’s Eve

You all know how much I love all the colors and sparkly things, so I’m bringing sequins into my New Year’s Eve outfit. I know that sometimes sequins on top and bottom can feel a little overwhelming, so maybe just spice up this holiday with one or the other! If sparkles aren’t your thing, satin, leather, and lace are all fun textures to play around with that give that flirty and unique touch. But for me? I’m taking any excuse to wear all the sparkles.
