Kiss Me
NEW COVER! It really has been a while since I’ve put out a fully produced cover. After 10 years of uploading covers, you really just want to focus on writing your own music, but I was feeling inspired when “Kiss Me” by Sixpence None the Richer greeted my ears while shuffling through songs. I wanted to combine this lighthearted song with some dreamy lo-fi vibes. Cooper quickly brought what I wanted to life in the track and then it was time to film a video. It’s a weird time to film videos, for more than one reason. One of them being, I’m still new to Nashville and all the people I used to call on are in LA. On top of that, the fact that we’re still in a pandemic has made it more challenging to meet new people out here. Cue Cooper and my iPhone. We made our way to a park where the scenery would be more interesting than our house, but we could still be far away from people. My goal was to have the whole thing feel like a home video. So after melting in the heat, I went home, began uploading the footage, and watched a YouTube video on how to get that VHS feel. This was my first video to edit in years! It felt good, even though I’m a little rusty. Hope you enjoy <3
